Since 2016, Harbinger has experienced rapid growth across multiple markets by focusing on relationships, excellence, and results. Now, we’re expanding into Oklahoma City—and we’re looking for a pioneering Senior Marketing Director to lead the charge. 


About the Role 

The Senior Marketing Director in Oklahoma City will be the first hire and market leader for Harbinger in Oklahoma. This is a highly relational, entrepreneurial role designed for a marketing professional who can both lead client partnerships and build the Harbinger presence in a new market. 

You’ll serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of partners, guiding marketing strategy and overseeing execution through Harbinger’s creative, technical, and media teams. Simultaneously, you’ll be responsible for establishing brand presence, networking within the Oklahoma City business community, and driving new growth opportunities through marketing assessments and business development conversations alongside our sales team. 

As the market matures, you’ll also play a key role in hiring, training, and developing future Marketing Directors and Marketing Coordinators, ensuring the Harbinger culture and standard of excellence are replicated locally. 

This is not an agency account manager role. This is an outsourced CMO position—a relationship-driven leadership opportunity for someone who wants to build, lead, and grow a market from the ground up.

Position Details 

Location: Edmond, Oklahoma (In-office role, Monday–Friday | Occasional weekend production and networking events, along with travel) 

Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 base salary + commission + performance bonuses. Total compensation for this role is expected to range from $130,000 to $150,000 within 2 to 3 years, based on moderate performance, assuming the commission plan and typical partner portfolio growth.

Who We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally in a client-facing or strategic role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with business owners and executives.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-channel marketing strategies (digital + traditional).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, professional presence, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred:
    Experience in business development, networking, or market expansion.
  • Previous leadership experience managing a small team of marketers or account managers.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and analytics platforms (Google Ads, GA4, Meta Ads, CallRail, etc.).

What You Will Do

  • Leadership & Market Development
    Serve as Harbinger’s market leader in Oklahoma City, representing our brand at networking events, professional associations, and local business functions.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships that lead to new business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
  • Assist our sales team in marketing assessments with prospective partners, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with our leadership team to craft proposals and onboarding plans.
  • Hire, mentor, and train future Marketing Directors and Marketing Coordinators as the market scales.
  • Foster Harbinger’s culture—defined by clarity, excellence, and service—across all Oklahoma-based relationships and team members.
  • Client Strategy & Partnership Management
    Act as the primary strategist and relationship lead for assigned partners, serving as their outsourced marketing director.
  • Develop and oversee marketing strategies that align with client goals, budget, and business objectives.
  • Direct Harbinger’s internal creative, production, and technical teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics across all digital and traditional channels.
  • Maintain a proactive communication rhythm with partners, anticipating needs and delivering solutions before being asked.
  • Operational Oversight
    Lead quarterly marketing reviews and ensure alignment between partner objectives and campaign results.
  • Ensure consistent documentation, reporting, and collaboration between Oklahoma-based accounts and Harbinger’s central operations team.
  • Oversee financial stewardship of partner accounts—monitoring spend, ROI, and profitability for both Harbinger and our clients.
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives, including process improvement, playbook development, and team training.

Health Insurance

We offer voluntary dental and vision coverage for eligible employees and their family members after the 60-day introductory period.

Term Life

Each eligible employee will have $50,000 of term life insurance provided to them at no charge.

Short-term Disability

For up to 90 days a large percentage of an employee's salary will be paid by Harbinger if that employee cannot work due to a serious illness or injury.

Long-term Disability

For up to 2 years a large percentage of an employee's salary will be paid by Harbinger if that employee cannot work due to a serious illness or injury.

401k Plan

All employees are eligible for participating in the Harbinger Marketing 401k once 2 months of service is complete.
